FIIRO House TV

The journey started on the 5th of January, 2019. 25 entrepreneurs, techno-preneurs and innovators were auditioned and selected across the nation to seek for 3 of Nigeria’s next industrialists.

At the end of 6 weeks of brain work, sweat and wit, the top 3 were selected as winners of 25 Million, 15 Million and 10 Million Naira respectively.

Adewale Adebola Emereged as the winner of N25 Million.

Adewale is a graduate of Ladoke Akintola University of Technology where he obtained his B.Tech Mechanical Engineering. He has since worked in diverse industries ranging from Banking, Oil and Gas Servicing Firms, Engineering and Construction Industries. He has operated in several roles as Project Manager, Operations Head and Design Lead. He is also a Co-founder at Blayton and BuildAfricaPro. He is also on the board of two online business solution companies.

He has also excelled as an Entrepreneur as he is currently Member and Alumni on reputable Nigerian and African Enterpreneurship Foundations.
His passion for building affordable housing solutions further led him to designing a Dry Stacking Interlocking Building Block which allows for faster and cheaper dry stacking of building blocks for housing structures.
Bola’s work ethic is phenomenal and he has an exceptional eye for detail. In his leisure time, Bola can be caught discussing investment ideas and innovative solutions to redefine the building and construction industry and also engaging in charity causes.

 

 

The other two contestants that emerged as 2nd Runner-Up and 1st Runner-Up are Ajiroghene Omanudhowo and Sanni-Ibiyemi Pedro. They emerged as winners of N15 Million and N10 Million respectively.

 

Ajiroghene is a seasoned Entrepreneur who is passionate about solving real-life problems, providing employment and boosting the nations economy as a whole. In his 8 active years he has been able to manage and grow his businesses till attaining major milestones, at the same time giving back through community projects. He is currently recycling plastic waste into furniture for schools in Nigeria and has won several National & African entrepreneurship awards.

Pedro is a mechatronics engineer, entrepreneur and public speaker. The founder of Bluetenant Ltd and cofounder of Naikob. While in his final year in university, In November 2015 Ibiyemi and two of his colleagues founded Naikob an e-commerce company to sell only made in Nigeria goods and services, in which period he was the CEO up until October 2017 where he went on to start Bluetenant ltd an automation and 3d manufacturing company. Alongside being an engineer and entrepreneur, Ibiyemi is also a speaker who empowers other people to become the best version of themselves.

The FIIRO Housemates for Season 1 will have access to exclusive Bank of Industry Grants and other incentives that would further boost their brands and help develop their products.

The FIIRO House Reality TV Show Auditions was cut across 4 different zones – South-West, South East/South South, North Central and North West.

The Season 1 auditions kick-started at the South West Zone, which was held in Lagos at the Federal Institute of Industrial Research Oshodi (FIIRO).
The auditions recorded about 150 participants, making it the highest of all the zones.

DAY 2

The Day 2 of the Southwest Auditions featured a press conference with the Director General of FIIRO, Prof. Mrs. Gloria Elemo.

Present at the Press Conference were Members of The Press, TV Stations and Bloggers. The aim was to sensitize them on the goals and aim of FIIRO House.

After the press conference, there was a brief round of exhibitions by some of the participants who showcased their products and innovations.

The exhibition was followed by presentation of certificates to participants by the DG FIIRO.
This certificates have a lot of benefits such as access to funds from Bank of Industry and Central Bank of Nigeria, access to some commercial bodies like NACCIMA and NASME, Free Training for participants on any technology of choice at FIIRO.

The Day 2 of the Southwest auditions rounded off with the selection of finalists that would emerge as housemates of the FIIRO House Reality TV Show.

DAY 1
The Day-1 of the Auditions featured Authentication and a training session for all participants.

A keynote address was given by the convener of the program, the person of Dr. Lanre Shonekan, The GMD/CEO Lashone Communications Limited. Afterwards, there was an introductory session of FIIRO Directors. Also introduced were The President of Nigerian Association Of Small And Medium Enterprises (NASME) and representatives of Nigerian Association of Chambers of Commerce, Industry, Mines and Agriculture (NACCIMA).

A training session was facilitated by one of the FIIRO professionals where a wide range of industrial technology and innovation were exposed to the participants.

Also present at the Day 1 were the Press, reporters from TV and radio houses.
